Daily Data: Discounters make a move or getting moved on?
China is, once again, good at consumer apps
New data on discounters and dollar stores . . . but what does it mean?
Everything reads better in your browser or in the app. The footnotes especially, and Random Walk is really leaning into the footnotes. Are discounters making a move?
Random Walk doesn’t really try to understand consumer businesses, so much as observe them in order to learn what they understand about us.
In this case, back-to-school shopping is over and the discounters are kicking off some credit card data worth attending to.
