It’s Yom Kippur today, so Random Walk is speaking to you from the past.

Below is an interview that I did with Byrne Hobart almost a year ago.

Byrne is a demi-celebrity of the finance and tech newsletter world because he writes prolifically at The Diff and Capital Gains, and has interesting thoughts about so many things. Random Walk is a big fan of Byrne.

It’s a fascinating and far-reaching conversation (really), but a word of caution: (1) neither of us expected me to use the video—my plan was to use the transcript, but it got so long, I kept ice-boxing it—so keep that in mind as you watch video that was never intended for the big time; (2) it’s a long interview.
