Creator Economy v. Distractor Economy

For whatever reason, the “Creator Economy” has been in the “news” lately.

For the uninitiated, the Creator Economy refers to all the “creators” making “news” via social media, newsletters, and publishing platforms. The content they make drives revenue through subscriptions, ads, sponsorships, merch, etc., depending on the publishing platform(s) the maker chooses to use.

Random Walk, for example, is part of the Creator Economy (and would be even more part of it, if more of you paid for my efforts, wink-wink, nudge-nudge).
